The Summer Prairie Gate

Since Kim has been updating her blog about the Haiti adventure, I decided it was time to make mine something besides an assignment for one of my PSC courses...
I've been putting most of my time into the MyFamily site, ahead of and after our July '08 reunion in Colorado, and I'm not sure exactly what I want to do with this site.

So ---- for the moment, all I'll do is update the seasonal photo of "the prairie gate" and take out most of the posts I put on it that were course-related.

I'd like to make it a poetry, photo-image, music, watercolor, whatever...sharing site that follows the quotation in the heading above. I'd like share some of my favorite links.

Kim and I just had the adventure of setting up a Skype video call which will be our best communication link after Patrick and she are living and working in Haiti in early November. Steve got in on the act, too, and was delighted to have this window into Kim's world.

I'm hoping Candy and Chris can hook up their webcam, as well, and let Conor talk to Aunt Kimmie and Uncle Patrick, too, as well as to "Pop-pop" and "Nana."

Anyway, I'll send this blog link to a small number of precious friends and family members now instead of to my classmates of last spring.

I'll also keep the video I made of Kim and Chris, a course project, but a treasure for all time.

Love that you have a blog, Madre. It will lend itself well to our book in the future. :)
